My group is busying building the initial steps for our webquest about First Nations, Metis and Inuit Education in the Middle Years Saskatchewan Curriculum. We are also incorporating the Circle of Courage as a guideline. Please watch for our masterpiece creation in the next few weeks!

Webquest is an inquiry-based, online learning activity. Students are encouraged to work in groups with assigned roles. Webquests are more than retrieval of facts. Students are learn through the process of reading, analyzing and synthesizing web-based information. Instructional design is the practice of maximizing the effectiveness, efficiency and appeal of instruction and other learning experiences.

Jing provides visuals with online conversations or explanations. It is precise, clear and easy to follow. Builders would be able to use this application to describe plans, details, instructions or other demonstrations! The possibilities are endless for every occupation!

The creative VoiceThreads can be shared with friends, students, family and colleagues for them to record comments as well! It really is quite amazing how interactive it can be. Exploring the Qwiki web site was interesting and intriguing. I have shared this site with several students and colleagues. Another tool that is important to all workers is a protective helmet. So keeping with the Technology Tool kit theme, I created a Concept map- Bicycle Helmet safety for our children who will be “working hard” riding bikes in the Summer time!
